FAQs

What to expect in sessions?

Each session focuses on whatever feels most helpful or present to process. In general, I am more process-oriented and less directive.  I hope to provide a safe space where you get to give voice to what is holding you back from finding a sense of connection and home within your mind, soul, body and community. I will not give you the answers but will tenderly invite you and guide you back into the wisdom of your own body. I see clients weekly as it provides space for consistency and growth.

Where are you located and where will we meet?

I see clients online/ virtually across the globe. I am licensed in Washington State in the USA and am geographically based in the south of Thailand. Occasionally I may take my practice on the road.

*I cannot offer counseling to those living in the United States who are located outside the state of Washington State due to differences in licensing laws across states. Additionally there may be some countries I'm unable to provide counseling in as well, depending on what country you are located in and the country’s licensing regulations. You are not expected to know the legalities of your country so if you are unsure, please reach out to let me know where you are located and I can let you know if I am able to see you.

I can provide coaching to anyone, no matter where you are located in the world.

I see clients virtually via a secure telehealth platform.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! I offer a free 20-minute video consultation.

Every therapist has an individual style, vibe, approach, personality and having a conversation before scheduling an intake can be a helpful place to explore if we would be a good fit. Here I will ask you to share what you are wanting to work on and explore in counseling and what you are looking for in a therapist. I will share a bit about myself and my approach and answer any questions you might have. From there you can decide if you'd like to schedule an initial session, take some time to think about it, or ask for additional referrals/resources if we don’t seem like an ideal fit for whatever reason.

What is your rate?

My fee is $140 USD per 50-minute mental health therapy or coaching session. Reduced fee spots are available. See below if finances are a barrier.

Do you offer sliding scale or have reduced fee spots?

If finances are a barrier, please reach out as I do have a limited number of reduced fee spots for students, global workers, or those experiencing financial hardship. Please contact me to discuss an adjusted rate if you cannot pay the full fee. I understand the financial and personal commitment and seek to make therapy and coaching more accessible, sustainable, and equitable.

Do you take insurance?

For US-based insured clients: I am not in-network with any insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider. However, for mental health therapy, I can provide a superbill/invoice monthly for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please note that a diagnosis is required for a superbill.

I am in-network with Lyra EAP Thailand.

I am a Lotus Therapy Fund Provider.

What is the difference between counseling/ mental health therapy and coaching?

Mental health counseling and coaching are similar but are not the same. Mental health counseling focuses gently uncovering and exploring patterns, past relationships, and trauma. We find ways to care for symptoms that are distressing and explore story and go in depth about the root of these issues.

Coaching is not therapy. It more focused on short-term goals and non-acute issues and explore what is getting in the way of you living aligned to your values. Somatic coaching is like coaching but with an emphasis on paying attention not just to your thoughts but to your body and the messages it sends.

Both explore embodied practices to help you learn the language of your nervous system and increase interconnect between your body, mind, and spirit.
